KIDLINGTON FINISH IN THEIR HIGHEST EVER POSITION AS THEY CLINCH SECOND PLACE IN THE PREMIER DIVISION
Ryan Curtin fired another five-timer as Kidlington Royals completed a stellar season by thrashing Dorchester United 13-1 to finish runners-up in the Premier League.
Curtin also scored five times the previous week as Kidlington sealed a treble with a 6-0 win over Sutton Wanderers to add the Devenney Cup to their Oxfordshire FA Sam Waters Sunday Cup and Hedley Toms/Michael Brown Trophy triumphs.
Denel Thomas hit a hat-trick for the hosts, Mark Bradwell bagged a brace and Toby Webster, Ben Willoughby and Anaclet Odhiambo completed the rout.
Colin Royall provided Dorchester’s lone reply.

ROYALS COMPLETE A HATTRICK OF CUP WINS BY CLINCHING THE DEVENNEY CUP
Kidlington Royals completed a unique trophy treble by thumping Sutton Wanderers 6-0 in the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League's Devenney Cup final at Abingdon Town.
Royals, who had already captured the Hedley Toms/Michael Brown Trophy and the Oxfordshire FA Sam Waters Sunday Cup, were hot favourites to rack up the hat-trick against the Division 2 minnows.
And Ryan Curtin made sure the Premier League outfit weren’t going to suffer an upset with a fantastic five-goal show.
He scored twice in the first half, and then added a second-half hat-trick as Royals ran away with the final. Jelroy Constant sealed the emphatic victory with Kidlington’s sixth goal.

KIDLINGTON ROYALS MAKE HISTORY AND BRING THE SAM WATERS HOME TO THE VILLAGE
Kidlington lifted the Sam Waters cup for the first time in their history after beating UTV rivals Oxford Sports and Social Club in a thrilling final.
Oxford were unbeaten in all competitions coming into this final but it was Kidlington who dominated the early exchanges. Last years runners-up were ahead on eight minutes when Ryan Curtin latched on to a crossfield ball to fire home from 10 yards.
The Royals continue to pile on the pressure for the next 25 minutes with Anaclet Odhiambo and Mark Janes squandering chances and with Tom Franklin, Toby Webster and Triston Lawrence looking menacing from set pieces.
For their part, Oxford S&SC failed to get started and were limited to a few long range efforts in the opening 40 minutes without troubling Davies in the Kidlington goal. But the UTV League champions went in at the half the happiest when, following a goal mouth scramble that denied Kidington their second, the Oxford side broke up field and Piers McGlynn neatly slotted home from a pin point cross to send the sides in level against the run of play.
The start of the second period was almost the opposite of the first with OS&SC rampant and looking very dangerous. Brooks and McMahon were full of running leading the line for the pre match favourites and Julian McCalmon stepping up to control the middle of the park. The pressure told when on 48 minutes, Johnny McMahon provided a superb finish from close range to put Oxford in the lead. Oxford couldn't capitalise further and Kidlington regained the momentum and had two efforts cleared off the line in quick succession by the Oxford rearguard. The introduction of Kieron Davis and Denel Thomas was the watershed moment in the game and the Royals again began to dominate. Curtin bagged his second with a volley on 66 minutes before the two substitutes provided some neat interplay to set Anaclet Odhiambo clear on 78 minutes to slot home the match winning goal.
Few could argue that the Kidlington didn't deserve to lift the most coveted Sunday cup in Oxfordshire after they controlled the game for long periods. The game itself was a tough affair but played in the right spirit between two very good sets if players.

KIDLINGTON REACH THEIR SECOND FINAL OF THE SEASON
The Royals reach the final of the Headley Toms/Michael Brown Trophy for the second successive year after beating Zubry Oxford 4-2 in wintery conditions. Volunteers helped to clear the Lift & Shift Arena pitch of snow in order to get the game on.
Goals from Kieron Davis and Anaclet Odhiambo in the first half and then a goal of the season contender from Triston Lawrence set Kidlington on their way before Zubry replied from the spot. Davis grabbed a second to give the Royals a 2 goal cushion before a scrappy late consolation from the Polish side completed the scoring.
